About Megan
Megan Rosbury is a strings professional living in Overland Park, KS. She is currently the Orchestra Director at Indian Trail Middle School in Olathe Public School District. Megan is also a private strings instructor to over 30 students. Megan graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education Degree with an Instrumental Emphasis from Murray State University and a Master of Music Education Degree in Instrumental Pedagogy from the University of Kansas.
Megan has eleven years of string education experience, ranging from one on one private lessons to full orchestra direction. Throughout the years she has worked with students of all backgrounds and multiple experience levels, tailoring instruction to best suit the student. In 2016, Megan was awarded the "Student Favorite" award for violin and cello from TakeLessons and was a master class instructor in advanced orchestral techniques. She currently is a cellist with the Kansas City Civic Orchestra and a member of the Educational Outreach program. Megan is a member of the Kansas Music Educators Association and the National Association of Music Educators.
Passion and excellence are the two key values that Megan aims to instill in all her students and through her instruction. She views music as a joy that anyone can experience and believes the skills taught through music education translate to all aspects of life.
Megan is currently accepting in person students for cello, violin and viola.
